Gold River-based Marketing and Communications Consultant Stephanie Chandler has been selected as one of three national judges for Project REV, a small business competition that will award ten $5,000 marketing package prizes.
The inaugural contest, sponsored by Minnesota-based Deluxe Small Business Sales, Inc., focuses on companies with 100 employees or fewer. A total of 10 companies will be awarded based on their need for the marketing plan development, web site design, search engine optimization, e-mail marketing, logo design and/or print marketing support package offered. The companies have to commit to one year of mentorship and be willing to talk about the return on investment after the experience.
The deadline to enter at www.projectrev.com is May 4, 2010.
Chandler was recruited as a judge because of her work with small businesses. She is the founder of Authority Publishing and the author of “LEAP! 101 Ways to Grow Your Business.” She says many companies have a love-hate relationship with their marketing effort. They love it when it works, but they hate all the work involved in implementing it. She has some advice for these companies:
1. Have specific goals
2. Break your efforts into bite-sized pieces
3. Do each one well and then move onto the next one.
